We present to you the 2023 (eng)aging! – 6th International Conference on Aging & Technology Fair held on June 19 – 20, 2023, in Prague. The event took place as an in-person meeting in Česká spořitelna Palace in Prague (Rytířská 29, Praha 1) and also was streamed online for those who could not physically attend.

This year’s edition debated potential of the silver economy to benefit all generations and building capacity to manage crises and their impact on the lives of older persons and presented technological products and solutions (robots, VR, gadgets, mobile applications, wearables, etc.) which have a potential to improve lives of older people.

The event was co-financed by International Visegrad Fund, Czech-German Future Fund, JTI Czech Republic and Česká spořitelna.

(eng)aging! project is run by Active Aging Center (AAC), a non-governmental organization, which develops
projects focused on improving life of older people - “Happy Senior” and “Good Investment”, in cooperation with KEYNOTE, a well- established consultancy.

Older Workers’ Second Missions: Tapping into the Silver Talent Pool

Professor Matt Flynn of the University of Leicester School of Business is the Director the Centre for Research into the Older Workforce. He has carried out research for the UK government, European Commission, and a variety of funding bodies like UK Research Council and British Academy. He has produced good practice guides for employers on making work attractive to older workers; constructing phased retirement pathways; and making the best use of skills and talents in intergenerational work teams. He has worked with organisations like the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and Trades Union Congress to promote the value of recruiting and developing talent across the life course.
