We present to you the 2023 (eng)aging– 6th International Conference on Aging & Technology Fair held on June 19 – 202023, in Prague. The event will take place as an in-person meeting in Česká spořitelna Palace in Prague (Rytířská 29, Praha 1) and also be streamed online for those who cannot physically attend.   

This year’s edition will debate potential of the silver economy to benefit all generations and building capacity to manage crises and their impact on the lives of older persons and will present technological products and solutions (robots, VR, gadgets, mobile applications, wearables, etc.) which have a potential to improve lives of older people.

Aging and Peculiarities of the Formation of the Second Demographic Capital (Dividend) and the Problems of its Use in Georgia

Presentation will include:

1. Short analysis of the dynamics of intensity and factors related to the aging of the population;
2. The dynamics and prognosis of the population’s life expectancy by 2030;
3. The sex-age structure of the senior population;
4. The correlation between the minimal retirement age and life expectancy and how it compares
with the analogous parameters in the countries of Europe;
5. The analysis of the failures and setbacks of the retirement reform implemented in 1997;
6. The sex-age structure of the individuals comprising the aged population who died because of
basic ailments and its analysis;
7. The analysis of the demographic load and pressure put on the youth and aged population;
8. The employment structure of the senior population ((aged 60 <);
9. The sex-age structure of the senior population in emigration as the additional reserve for the
formation of demographic dividend;
10. The impact of the demographic dividend on the dynamism of the country’s economic
development;
11. The social price of the demographic deficiency created as a result of the expected decrease
in the number of the population who are of working age, under conditions of demographic
deficit, which creates significant problems in the allocation of budget resources aimed at the
healthcare and social security of the population;
12. The potential for the use of the demographic dividend of the elderly (second demographic
dividend) in the form of the specialty of higher and secondary specialist education.

The presentation will include statistical tables, graphs and diagrams
